Betway Premiership side Chippa United looks set for a split with their sporting director, Sinesipho Mali. Mali joined Chippa ahead of the 2025/26 season after leaving Sekhukhune United, where he served as head of analysis and scouting.
The highly rated scout made history as the first-ever sporting director at the Chilli Boys, overseeing key operations, including player recruitment. Meanwhile, Chippa has struggled to maintain consistent form in the current campaign, as they are fighting relegation after the first round.
The Eastern Cape-based side is languishing at the bottom of the league table with nine points, having claimed one victory, six draws, and eight defeats in 15 matches.
CHIPPA UNITED MADE FOUR COACHING CHANGES IN THE FIRST ROUND OF THE SEASON

As a result of the dismal start to the season, Chippa have made coaching changes on four occasions since Sinethemba Badela, Musa Nyatama, and Luc Eymeal left the club. They currently have Vusumuzi Vilakazi at the helm, who has a tough task of pulling the club out of the relegation zone.
FARPost has learnt that Chippa will have yet another technical team member, Sinesipho Mali, leaving the club just a few months after taking over the job. The former Kaizer Chiefs scout has been with United for only six months, and a source close to the developments has revealed the two parties are finalising a mutual agreement to part ways.
Mali, who is also the analyst for Bafana Bafana, is currently in camp with the national team, led by head coach Hugo Broos, as they prepare for the highly anticipated AFCON in Morocco between December and January.
Bafana kick off their Group B AFCON campaign with a clash against Angola in Marrakech on 22 December 2025, before facing Egypt in Agadir four days later. Their group stage matches conclude with a clash against Zimbabwe on 29 December.
