Kaizer Chiefs legend Tsepo Masilela believes the Soweto giants have a genuine chance to lure highly-rated prospect Puso Dithejane away from TS Galaxy—but only if they back their interest with a serious offer and a clear plan.
Masilela enters the chat around Dithejane’s future after the 21-year-old established himself as one of the best Betway Premiership attackers, delivering four goals and six assists in 15 appearances before the current 2025 AFCON break.
A product of the School of Excellence and later Chiefs’ development, Dithejane’s time at Naturena ended infamously following the well-documented ball-boy saga. However, he swiftly made his name in just two seasons at Galaxy, including regular call-ups to Hugo Broos’ preliminary Bafana Bafana squads.
His progress was further recognised when he was named the Betway Premiership November/December Player of the Month, highlighting his growing influence at the Rockets.
Dithejane played a central role in the club’s strong run into the festive break, contributing a goal and two assists as the club climbed into the league’s top-eight bracket. He edged out Orlando Pirates winger Oswin Appollis and AmaZulu FC forward Athini Maqokolo for the PSL award.
PUSO DITHEJANE LINKED WITH THE BIG THREE

Unsurprisingly, interest in the in-form winger is intensifying, with Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates also rumoured to be keeping an eye on the talent from Christiana in the North West. TS Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi has confirmed receiving enquiries, including from overseas clubs, although none have yet met the club’s valuation.
“I like the player,” Masilela said on the Soccer Beat podcast. “The numbers are good for a winger. Sometimes you get talented players who are stubborn in a good way; they believe in their ability.
“I don’t want to say it was a blessing that he wasn’t promoted at Chiefs. That incident came and went. Today, he is shining.
“If Chiefs really want him and put the right offer on the table, TS Galaxy are a selling team. The chairman doesn’t block players; if the offer is right, he will sell.
“If there is an opportunity abroad, I would take that first. His age allows him to try overseas, and if it doesn’t work out, he can always come back. I always encourage players to move abroad,” Masilela added.
