Kruger and Tabiso Mpame edge closer to a reunion

Tabiso Mpame in action for Kruger United

Motsepe Foundation Championship side Kruger United FC and talented winger Tabiso Mpame are edging closer to a reunion, FARPost has learnt.

The Mpumalanga club is working hard behind the scenes to reinforce its squad ahead of the second round of the Motsepe Foundation Championship, set to resume in January 2026 after the conclusion of the 2025 AFCON tournament, which is due to be staged in Morocco from 21 December.

Mpame was part of the Kruger squad in the last campaign and helped the side finish in fifth place in the SA second tier, accumulating 45 points over 30 matches. They missed the opportunity to qualify for the PSL Promotional/Relegation Playoffs on the last day of the 2024/25 season.

With the combination of seasoned players and youthful talent from the ABC Motsepe League, after their promotion to the PSL, the team transitioned smoothly to the professional level.

However, the former Cape Town Spurs FC winger, Mpame, cut ties with Kruger at the end of the last term, having joined them on a free transfer after his departure from Casric Stars.
