Ex-Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Sabelo Radebe has resurfaced at North West Motsepe Foundation Championship side Lerumo Lions, FARPost has established.
โBiboโ, as he is affectionately known within football circles, has been without a club since July 2025 following his departure from the Soweto giants.
Amakhosi decided not to extend his stay at the club after the player’s contract expired on 30 June 2025. This decision came after Radebeโs unsuccessful loan deal at the KZN outfit Richards Bay FC.
After a frustrating stint in which he featured only three times, the 25-year-old parted ways with the Natal Rich Boyz in April 2025, bringing an early end to his loan agreement.
Radebe climbed to the Amakhosi senior ranks from the Diski Challenge alongside a promising crop of talent, including Lebohang Lesako, Darrel Matsheke, and Keletso Sifama, all of whom made the step up in 2021.
During his stint with Amakhosi’s first team, he made over 17 appearances across all competitions, according to Transfermarkt.
SABELO RADEBE TRAINING WITH PSL SIDE LERUMO LIONS
This publication has it on good authority that Radebe is currently training with Lions, with the hope of securing a permanent contract ahead of the resumption of the Motsepe Foundation Championship in January next year.

Radebe was part of the Sibongile Marokana-owned club’s last friendly game of the year against Mamelodi Sundowns earlier this week at the Tshwane giants’ training base in Chloorkop.
The 2025/26 campaign marks the Lions’ debut in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, following their acquisition of Pretoria Calliesโ status prior to the start of the season.
Meanwhile, should Radebe revive his career with the Lions, his top-flight experience in the Betway Premiership will be a vital asset in the club’s push for a higher finish.
Currently, the side sits eighth in the Motsepe Foundation Championship standings, having collected 20 points from 14 matches. Their campaign resumes on Friday, 23 January 2026, with an away fixture against Highbury FC, scheduled for a 15:30 kick-off.
