Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Joseph Molangoane has singled out two Betway Premiership wingers he loves to watch: Orlando Pirates’ Relebohile Mofokeng and TS Galaxy’s Puso Dithejane.
Molangoane, who made his name as a pacy wide player during his playing days, believes Mofokeng’s biggest strength lies in his football intelligence. While Mofokeg endured an injury layoff earlier in the term, the 21-year-old has looked sharp since returning at the start of November, contributing two assists and a goal in five appearances.
Molangoane feels Mofokeng’s movement, timing, and decision-making allow him to influence matches despite his slight frame.
“Rele knows he does not have physical strength, so he uses his brain,” Molangoane told FARPost. “He has the intelligence to avoid physical battles. Rele finds ways to receive the ball when he is free.

“That thing comes with you as a player, understanding the game. I was even shorter than him. You must know how to get away. Sometimes Rele reminds me of old school wingers, the ones that play on the line and dribble.”
Meanwhile, Mofokeng has jetted off to Morocco to represent Bafana Bafana at AFCON 2025, where he will be hoping to make his name in Africa.
Alongside Mofokeng, TS Galaxy’s Puso Dithejane has also impressed the former Chiefs winger. The 21-year-old has enjoyed a strong season with the Rockets, producing four goals and six assists in 15 matches. Molangoane is particularly drawn to Dithejane’s versatility and calmness in the final third.
“Dithejane is special,” Molangoane added. “You don’t know if he is a winger, number 10 or a striker. That boy is gifted. He has a great balance of skill and direct play. He knows how to score goals and also create. That is what a star is.”
Dithejane’s form earned him a call-up to Bafana Bafana’s preliminary squad ahead of AFCON 2025. Unfortunately, he narrowly missed out on the final selection.
