Kaizer Chiefs chairman Dr Kaizer Motaung has sent a message of support to Bafana Bafana ahead of their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] clash against Egypt on Friday.
South Africa will take on Egypt in a Group B match at the Adrar Stadium on Friday at 17:00. They head into the highly anticipated tie following a hard-fought 2-1 win against Angola in their opening match on Monday.
In a Christmas message addressed to Chiefs faithful and the football fraternity, Motaung shared his conviction that the inherent resilience of South Africans will carry Bafana Bafana to victory over Egypt.

โWe also send our best wishes to our national menโs team, Bafana Bafana, who are currently in Morocco representing Mzansi at the Africa Cup of Nations,โ said Motaung.
โWe watched the opening game against Angola and now look forward to the clash against Egypt on Family Day, 26 December.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs boss also reflected on the clubโs achievements in 2025, which included celebrating their 55th anniversary.
Amakhosi ended a 10-year wait for silverware when they defeated Orlando Pirates 2-1 to claim the 2025 Nedbank Cup trophy in May.
