Msendami responds to Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates links

Mohamed Salah and Daniel Msendami, Zimbabwe vs Bafana Bafana

Marumo Gallants striker and Zimbabwe international Daniel Msendami has reacted to transfer rumours linking him with Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates as his stock continues to rise.ย

The 25-year-old is in his second season playing Betway Premiership football, having arrived at Bahlabane ba Ntwa from Jwaneng Galaxy in July 2024. At Marumo Gallants, he has been a prominent member of their team despite having yet to establish himself as a prolific scorer.

Even after managing just three goals and as many assists in 33 games across all competitions last season, he was still being linked with the two Soweto giants. The current term has seen Msendami scoring just one goal in 16 appearances.

But he still made it to the 2025 AFCON tournament with Zimbabwe and could not score or provide an assist in the two matches he featured. Msendami is now entering the final six months of his Gallants contract which expires in June 2026.

The Zimbabwean has previously worked with the Buccaneers coach Abdeslam Ouaddou at Gallants and he responds to the transfer talk.

MSENDAMI SPELLS OUT AMBITIONS AMID CHIEFS AND PIRATES RUMOURS

โ€œWe play to reach the top league and play for big teams. Iโ€™ll definitely keep pushing, push very hard, and hope that as time passes, I can get an offer to reach a higher level and showcase my talent,โ€ Msendami told the media in Morocco.

For me, the way I heard it was concrete [the interest from Chiefs and Pirates], but I didnโ€™t put it in mind, because if they were really interested in me, they were going to take meโ€ฆ

โ€œSo, Iโ€™ll keep pushing, go where Iโ€™m needed, and work very hard to score more goals in the league and keep playing like this. My contract is expiring soon, but Iโ€™m not yet clear on whatโ€™s happening. Iโ€™ll keep on pushing.โ€
