Motsepe Foundation Championship side Cape Town City FC has acquired the services of former TS Galaxy frontman Dženan Zajmović.
The 32-year-old forward joins the Cape club on a free transfer following his departure from the Persian Gulf Pro League side Zob Ahan Esfahan.
Zajmović joined Zob Ahan Esfahan in August 2025 after cutting ties with the Betway Premiership club Galaxy.
The Bosnia-Herzegovina-born striker arrived in South Africa in July 2024, joining the Mpumalanga-based outfit when Galaxy was still under the tutelage of Sead Ramović.
Zajmović netted 11 goals and provided three assists in 28 matches for the club owned by Tim Sukazi across all competitions.
Moreover, he had a crucial impact on Galaxy’s fifth-place standing in the league table last campaign. The Rockets amassed 35 points by securing eight victories, drawing 11, and suffering nine defeats over the course of 28 matches.
After his unexpected departure from Galaxy, where he became a regular starter, he was rumoured to be joining the Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs; however, nothing came of it.
