After arriving at Orlando Pirates at the start of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season, talented attacker Sinoxolo Kwayiba has completed a permanent move back to Chippa United.
Kwayiba joined the Soweto giants in a high-profile move after his impressive showing at Chippa; however, he struggled to break into the Pirates starting line-up after facing stiff competition.
The Bafana Bafana international failed to impress the Pirates technical team led by head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou despite being tipped as one of the best talents in the PSL.
In his brief spell with the Soweto giants, Kwayiba featured in only four appearances across all competitions without registering any goals. The 25-year-old signed with Pirates alongside other big-name players such as Sipho Mbule, Tshepang Moremi, Oswin Appollis, and Sihle Nduli in the off-season.
In his battle to make a name for himself at the Sea Robbers, Kwayiba faced tough competition from players such as Relebohile Mofokeng, Sipho Mbule, Patrick Maswanganyi, Kabelo Dlamini, and Masindi Nemtajela in the number 10 role.
PIRATES PART WAYS WITH SINOXOLO KWAYIBA AFTER ONLY SIX MONTHS
With the Eastern Cape-born star seemingly not in the plans of Ouaddou, Pirates announced the exit of Kwayiba, who is rejoining the Chilli Boys on a permanent move.

“Orlando Pirates would like to thank Sinoxolo Kwayiba for his services as he returns to Chippa United on a permanent move,” Pirates said on social media.
Before completing a dream transfer to Pirates, the former Pretoria Callies attacker scored 11 goals and chipped in with two assists in 43 games in all competitions at Chippa.
Meanwhile, Kwayiba will be looking to help Chippa United climb up the table and survive the relegation as they are sitting at the bottom of the league table. United have collected nine points after claiming only one win in the league, drawing six, and losing eight times in 15 matches.
