Chippa United have revealed Sinoxolo Kwayiba’s contract details after rejoining the club in a shock permanent move from Orlando Pirates.
The highly-rated attacker has been with the Sea Robbers for only six months after joining from the Chilli Boys at the start of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season.
After making a high-profile move to Pirates, Kwayiba struggled to find his best form, resulting in having limited game-time under the guidance of head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou.
The 25-year-old featured in four appearances across all competitions at Pirates after facing stiff competition from Relebohile Mofokeng, Patrick Maswanganyi, Sipho Mbule, Oswin Appollis, and Kabelo Dlamini in the number 10 role.
Kwayiba signed with the Soweto giants with other players such as Sihle Nduli, Oswin Appollis, Kamogelo Sebelebele, Sipho Mbule, Tshepang Moremi, Yanela Mbuthuma, Nkosikhona Ndaba, Abdoulaye Mariko, Lebone Seema, Masindi Nemtajela, and Tshepho Mashiloane.
On Monday, Pirates announced the departure of Kwayiba on a permanent deal to join his former side Chippa, as they look to survive relegation. The Eastern Cape-based outfit is occupying 16th position on the Premiership table with nine points after 15 matches.
KWAYIBA PENS THREE-YEAR DEAL WITH CHIPPA UNITED

Chippa expressed their excitement at the return of Kwayiba and disclosed that the Bafana Bafana international signed a three-year contract.
“Chippa United FC is delighted to welcome back Sinoxolo Kwayiba, who has rejoined the club on a three-year contract, making his return a permanent move,” Chippa United said on social media.
“Kwayiba comes home to the province at a critical moment for Chippa United FC. We believe his presence will be instrumental in helping us turn the corner and restore pride across the province.
“The club would like to thank Orlando Pirates for their professionalism and cooperation in concluding this transfer. We welcome Sinoxolo back with open arms and wish him every success in the red and white.”
