Sekhukhune United unveil Lehlohonolo Mojela

Sekhukhune United have officially bolstered their attacking options with the signing of Lehlohonolo Mojela ahead of the high-stakes second half of the 2025/26 season.

Confirming earlier reports by FARPost, Babina Noko have secured the services of the highly-rated forward to strengthen their squad. Mojelaโ€™s arrival at the Limpopo-based outfit marks a significant addition to the team’s offensive arsenal as they look to climb the Betway Premiership standings and compete for silverware.

LEHLOHONOLO MOJELA STARTS A NEW CHAPTER AFTER PARTING WAYS WITH STELLENBOSCH FC

The 29-year-old left Stellenbosch under a dark cloud after he and winger Lesiba Nku were placed on a transfer. The pair had been training separately from the rest of the squad before the AFCON break.

It was Mojela’s second season at the club after joining from TS Galaxy at the start of the 2024/25 season.

He enjoyed a blistering start to his career in the Winelands, where he scored six goals in his first nine appearances and helped the club reach the MTN8 final before a knee injury severely hampered his momentum. After undergoing surgery in late 2024, Mojela struggled to reclaim his starting spot in the team.

SEKHUKHUNE UNITED ROPE IN EXPERIENCED STRIKER AHEAD OF SEASON RESUMPTION

As this publication had first reported, Mojela completed his medicals in late December after the two clubs reached an agreement.

He has since joined his new teammates as they step up preparations for the second half of the 2025/26 season.

Before the AFCON break, Sekhukhune were sitting third on the Betway Premiership with 25 points, three behind log leaders Orlando Pirates. They have scored 16 goals, conceding nine in the process.

Interestingly, Sekhukhune are set to face Mojelaโ€™s former side Stellenbosch when they resume their campaign on 20 January at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
