Betway Premiership side Sekhukhune United have announced the signing of Ivorian-born winger, Amede Tidiane Diomande. The arrival of the attacker marks the club’s second signing of the January transfer window.
The 26-year-old right-winger joins the club from Stade d’Abidjan in Ivory Coast where he spent the past season. He is the second signing announced by the club in a space of two days after the arrival of Lehlohonolo Mojela from Stellenbosch FC.
“We are pleased to announce the signing of Ivorian-born winger, Amede Tidiane Diomande. His speed and skill, bring exciting attacking options to our squad,” the club announced on Thursday.

Diomande has featured for clubs in West Africa as well as in Asia. According to Transfermarkt, he played for Williamsville Athletic Club, an Ivorian football club based in Abidjan, during the 2019/20 season.
He went on to join a fellow Ivorian club, FC San Pedro, the following season, before his move to Shirak SC in Armenia. Diomande spent two and a half seasons at Ivory Coast giants ASEC Mimosas before his move to Stade d’Abidjan.
During his time at Abidjan, Diomande worked under the current Marumo Gallants coach, Alexandre Lafitte, where they won the league title at the end of last season.

Besides the signing of Diomande and Mojela, Sekhukhune have also welcomed back striker Andy Boyeli, who spent time on loan at Tanzanian giants Young Africans.
Boyeli had signed for Yanga on a season-long loan; however, he struggled to command a regular place in the team, which prompted the side to release him.
Sekhukhune also have veteran striker Bradly Grobler, who has been in fine form since arriving at the club at the beginning of the season.
