Mamelodi Sundowns are in advanced talks to sign TS Galaxy star Puso Dithejane following their blockbuster transfer coup for Monnapule Saleng as the Brazilians look to bolster their squad for the second round of the season, FARPost has learnt.
Masandawana are set to be one of the busiest teams in the January transfer window to beef up the squad in the second round of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season.
In a move that shocked the South African football fraternity, Sundowns announced the signing of Orlando Pirates winger, Saleng, as they look to bring their campaign back on track. The Tshwane giants have already missed out on two domestic trophies, the MTN8 and Carling Knockout in the current campaign, a form they will be looking to improve on.
Sundowns snapped up Saleng, who spent the past few seasons at Pirates before being sent out on loan in July 2025. During his spell with Pirates, the pacey attacker netted 25 goals and provided 17 assists in 70 appearances across all competitions.
DITHEJANE HAS BEEN IN AN IMPRESSIVE FORM FOR TS GALAXY
With Sundowns seemingly taking a robust approach to the transfer market, FARPost has established that the Chloorkop-based side could win the race to sign Puso Dithejane.

The former Kaizer Chiefs youth talent has been the most-talked-about player in the PSL following his impressive run in the colours of Galaxy. So far this season, Dithejane has featured in 15 matches across all competitions for the Rockets, scoring four goals and providing six assists.
This publication has learnt that the Brazilians are close to winning the race against rivals Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs to sign the 21-year-old utility attacker.
“Puso is close to joining Mamelodi Sundowns. The club held talks with the player’s camp, and I can tell you that Dithejane is keen on the move. It’s only a few things that are left to be ironed out,” a source said.
Dithejane has proven his qualities in the colours of Galaxy, and his signing could mark another major arrival in the current window for Downs as they aim to defend their league title while chasing the Nedbank Cup and CAF Champions League.
