Ex-Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane has joined a new club, Phezulu FC, in the SAFA Mpumalanga ABC Motsepe League.
The 31-year-old has been without a club since July 2025 following his departure from the Soweto giants, Chiefs, as the side decided to release him.
He had signed for the Glamour Boys in June 2023 on a three-year contract from Cape Town City FC. However, the midfielder found it hard to make an impact during his tenure at the club and was released with one season remaining on his contract.
At Phezulu, he joins the likes of Jabulani Shongwe, Paseka Sekese, and Lehlohonolo Nonyane, who had previously played in the PSL.
Before he was let go by Chiefs, Mdantsane was sent out on loan to Richards Bay FC in January last year, where he only made three appearances.

MDUDUZI MDANTSANE HAPPY TO BE GRANTED ANOTHER LIFELINE
The former Baroka FC star expressed his delight at having been given another lifeline to revive his football career after being on the sidelines for the past few months.
โIโm thrilled to join Phezulu FC. The club has shown incredible form this season, and Iโm here to contribute and help the team achieve its goals. Itโs an opportunity to give back to the game and inspire the younger players around me,โ Mdantsane told Emba Community Newspaper.
Mdantsane’s experience is anticipated to assist the team in fighting for league title honors and securing qualification for the SAFA ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs, aiming for promotion to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
As things stand, Phezulu is placed at the top of Stream A of their provincial ABC Motsepe League table. They have collected 25 points from nine outings and are three points ahead of the second-placed Shimadel FC.
Phezuluโs next league game will be against Tiger Boys FC on Saturday, 17 January 2026, at the Secunda Stadium. The kickoff is set for 15:00.
