The Premier Soccer League [PSL] conducted the draw for the 2025/26 Nedbank Cup Last 32, with the big three clubs avoiding each other in the first round.
The draw took place on Thursday, 15 January, at the Nedbank headquarters in Sandton and was broadcast live on SuperSport channel 209.
The competition consists of all 16 Betway Premiership clubs, eight from the Motsepe Foundation Championship, and eight from the SAFA leagues.
Teams from the SAFA structures are; FC Cardinals [Free State], SSU M17 FC [Gauteng], Mkhambathi FC [KZN], Tshakhuma Tsha Mazivhandila [Limpopo], Luthuli Brigades FC [Mpumalanga], Jacksa Spears [Northern Cape], Army Rockets FC [North West], SAFA Western Cape [To be confirmed].
Casric Stars, Gomora United, Highbury FC, Hungry Lions, Lerumo Lions, Milford FC, AmaTuks, and Upington City FC are all Motsepe Foundation Championship clubs.
THE NEDBANK CUP ROUND OF 32 DRAW PROCEDURE
a) All club names were placed in a single pot.
b) There was no seeding.
c) In each sequence, the first ball drawn was designated as the home club, while the second ball was designated as their opponents’ away club.
d) This process continued until all fixtures were finalised.
The defending Nedbank Cup champions, Kaizer Chiefs, will commence their title defence against Stellenbosch FC.
Orlando Pirates will be away to the SAFA Limpopo ABC Motsepe League outfit Tshakhuma Tsha Mazivhandila.
Meanwhile, Mamelodi Sundowns will face Motsepe Foundation Championship side Gomora United at home.
