Former Orlando Pirates utility star Marshall Munetsi has completed a loan transfer to French Ligue 1 side Paris FC from English Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Zimbabwe vice-captain heads to Paris where he will spend the rest of the season after making 15 appearances and scoring two goals for Wolves in all competitions this term. After a promising start to life at Wolves following his move from Stade Reims in February 2025, Munetsi struggled to build on that.
He returns to Ligue 1, a familiar environment which saw him rise to become Stade Reims captain before tasting English football. Wolves are currently struggling in the Premier League, facing the grim prospect of being relegated.
Known in the Betway Premiership as a central midfielder or centre-back during his time at Baroka FC and Pirates Munetsi was then pushed upfront as an attacker at Stade Reims. This is a role he played in at Wolves but struggled to flourish.
MUNETSI NOT IN THE PLANS OF WOLVES MANAGER ROB EDWARDS

“The 29-year-old has featured 15 times for Wolves this season, scoring in the Premier League against Burnley and in the Carabao Cup victory over Everton at Molineux,” Wolves said, announcing Munetsi’s loan move.
“But only two of the midfielder’s appearances have been under Rob Edwards, after Munetsi suffered a calf injury which has left him on the sidelines for the last six weeks and saw the Zimbabwean captain miss out on leading his country at the Africa Cup of Nations.
“As he nears his return from injury, Munetsi will now spend the rest of the current season in France as he heads to Paris FC on loan. The midfielder initially joined Wolves 12 months ago from Ligue 1 side Reims, having stepped out almost 150 times and scored 21 goals in the French top flight.
“In his first season in gold and black, Munetsi scored twice 16 outings and provided a spark to help Wolves remain in the Premier League for an eighth successive year. Everyone at Wolves would like to wish Marshall the very best for his loan spell.”
