Siwelele FC have officially announced the signing of former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana winger Kgaogelo Sekgota for the second round of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season.
The Limpopo-born star is beefing up Siwelele’s attacking options as they are keen on building a competitive team under the guidance of head coach Lehlohonolo Seema.
Siwelele are in their first season in the PSL after purchasing the top-flight SuperSport United at the start of the current campaign.
In their first six months in the Premiership, Siwelele have had a challenging start to life in the top league as they are positioned in the bottom half of the log standings. They have collected 16 points in 15 games in the league after securing four wins, four draws, and suffering seven defeats.
SEKGOTA JOINS SIWELELE FC FROM TUBATSE UNITED IN THE ABC MOTSEPE LEAGUE

Meanwhile, Sekgota had a stint in the ABC Motsepe League with Tubatse United, where he made his debut for the club just before the 2025 AFCON break. The left-footed winger’s career has had a series of off-field issues that have prevented him from reaching his full potential.
Before signing with Tubatse United, Sekgota was in the books of Motsepe Foundation Championship side Upington City FC. The pacey attacker also had stints with teams such as Bidvest Wits, Kaizer Chiefs, Stellenbosch FC, and Moroka Swallows.
Sekgota will be looking to use the second-half for the season to revive his career and return to the best form that saw him torment defenders with his speed and skill. The 29-year-old will compete with experienced wingers such as Tebogo Potsane and Vincent Pule for a place in the starting line-up at Siwelele to propel the club into top eight finish.
