Zimbabwean Premier Soccer League [PSL] champions Scottland FC are in South Africa for their pre-season tour. This is ahead of the 2026 PSL campaign.
The new season of the Zim top-flight is scheduled to kick off in February with the Castle Challenge Cup featuring Scottland and giants Dynamos.
FARPost can reveal that Scottland flew out of Zimbabwe on Monday morning and are currently camped at the Royal Marang Hotel in North West Province.
WHY SCOTTLAND MIGHT HAVE OPTED FOR SOUTH AFRICA
Nicknamed Mabviravira, Scottland may have opted for South Africa due to superior training facilities compared to Zimbabwe, which currently lacks top-notch football infrastructure, including a CAF-approved stadium.
Scottland boast several players with experience in the South African league, including former Warriors poster boy Khama Billiat, the Musona brothers—Knowledge and Walter—who previously played for Kaizer Chiefs and Polokwane City respectively, as well as Kevin Moyo, the former Chippa United defender and Terrence Dzvukamanja, who turned out for Bidvest Wits, SuperSport United and Orlando Pirates.

The club’s technical leadership is also familiar with Mzansi football.
Head coach Norman Mapeza previously coached Chippa United, while team manager Peter Ndlovu starred for Mamelodi Sundowns during his playing days before later serving as the club’s team manager.
Scottland also have two Zimbabwean youngsters in their ranks who were signed from South African academies.
These are Jameson Nduna Junior, formerly of the SuperSport United academy and Seth Musarapachena, who joined from the Young Bafana Academy in Cape Town.
Both were in the Warriors under-17 side during the COSAFA Under-17s tournament held in Zimbabwe last year.
Meanwhile, Scottland are expected to proceed to Namibia for a week-long camp after completing their two-week stay in South Africa, where they are set to play yet to be named Betway Premiership sides in friendly matches.
The pre-season tour is seen as crucial in preparing Scottland for the CAF Champions League, where they will represent Zimbabwe this year.
Travelling and a change of environment are key for a team that has tasted top-flight football only once and remarkably emerged as league champions in their debut season.
