FARPost has established that the future of John Maduka at Betway Premiership side Magesi FC could be decided before the end of this week.
Maduka was surprisingly in the stands wearing the club’s regalia, sitting next to club CEO John Mathibe, during the 2-0 defeat by Orlando Pirates at the Orlando Amstel Area on Saturday.
His assistant, Abram Nteo, was in charge during the match, which was their eighth defeat in 15 matches.

The club is currently bottom of the log, having collected 11 points from the 15 games with just two wins and 5 draws under Maduka. They have also managed to score 10 goals, conceding 21 in the process.
Their last win came in October 2025 after defeating TS Galaxy 2-1 at the Seshego Stadium. The 55-year-old was appointed at the beginning of the season, taking over from Owen da Gama.

COULD THIS BE THE END FOR JOHN MADUKA AT MAGESI FC?
This publication has reliably been informed that the club hierarchy is set to meet with the Malawian this week to deliberate on the future.
It has also emerged that Maduka had been preparing the team at training ahead of the Pirates clash until the day of the match, when he was excused from the squad for the match.
With the recent results and current log standings, it would appear that the two parties could soon separate ways. However, all would be clear when the two parties sit down during a meeting summoned for this week.
Magesi are set to travel to the Northern Cape to take on Upington City for a Nedbank Cup last 32 match against Upington City at Mxolisi Dicky Jacobs Stadium on Saturday, 7 February 2026.
