FARPost has it on good authority that veteran defender Justice Chabalala has parted ways with Motsepe Foundation Championship side Gomora United, with an immediate return to the Betway Premiership reportedly on the cards.
The former Orlando Pirates centre back signed for the Johnny Ferreira-coached side in September 2025 on a free transfer. His arrival was seen as a major coup for Gomora, as they looked to solidify their defence for their debut season in the South African second tier.
The veteran defender joined Gomora after parting ways with Chippa United, a club where he played an instrumental role during two different stints.
Chabalala had signed a season-long contract with the Gauteng-based outfit, which included an option to extend for a further year.
Despite his pedigree, the 34-year-oldโs time with Gomora was relatively short-lived. He leaves the club sitting in 12th position on the Motsepe Foundation Championship table, having accumulated 19 points from 17 outings.
Sources suggest that Chabalala requested to leave Gomora for greener pastures, leading to the mutual decision to part ways.

JUSTICE CHABALALA HANDED HIS CLEARANCE AT GOMORA UNITED
This publication can confirm that Chabalala has officially received his clearance, making him a free agent. Despite the January transfer window being closed, he is allowed to sign with any team of his choice because he is unattached to any club at the moment.
FARPost can further reveal that Chabalala is heavily linked with a move back to the Betway Premiership. Several top-flight teams are reportedly monitoring his situation, including: Siwelele FC, Magesi FC, Orbit College FC and a possible reunion with the Chilli Boys.
With the second half of the season having started, Chabalalaโs experience could prove vital for any side fighting for stability in the South African elite league.
In addition, Gomora will be in action tonight against Mamelodi Sundowns in the Nedbank Cup Round of 32 at Loftus Versfeld Stadium. The kick off is set for 19:00.
