The Malamulele Stadium in Limpopo, which is set to get an upgrade, has attracted yet another PSL team interested in hosting home matches at the facility.
As FARPost first reported, Gauteng-based club Gomora United has now moved all its home matches to the venue for the remainder of the season.
The first match was the 0-0 draw in a Motsepe Foundation Championship clash against Venda FC last Friday.
MAYOR CONFIRMS MALAMULELE STADIUM WILL GET AN UPGRADE
Collins Chabane Local Municipality Mayor Shadrack Maluleke confirmed to this publication after the match that the facility will be getting an upgrade soon. The current capacity at the venue is 14,000, and a new stand will extend it to 20,000.
“We are from a strategic planning which ended on Thursday [29 January]. One of the resolutions taken was that we will be building another grandstand at this stadium,” Maluleke told FARPost.

ANOTHER PSL CLUB SET TO TAKE HOME MATCH TO LIMPOPO
“This is to increase the current capacity and make sure that more people come and enjoy professional football here.
“As a Collins Chabane Local Municipality and the community of Malamulele in particular, we are very impressed with what happened today [Friday]. For Gomora United to have chosen to play their last home games here in Malamulele will go a long way in terms of boosting the local economy of our area. It will assist our Hawkers to make business around here and also promote sports in general to our community. We are happy that they are also taking some new talent around here.”
Meanwhile, this publication had gathered that Motsepe Foundation Championship side Lerumo Lions could be the latest side to host a league match in Malamulele. It is said they intend to host their home match against Cape Town City on 1 March 2026 at the venue.
