He is closely followed by Sekhukhune United’s prolific marksman, Bradley Grobler, who has notched up seven goals. Iqraam Rayners of Mamelodi Sundowns and Thandolwenkosi of AmaZulu FC are joint-third, with six goals apiece.

Dion attributed his current form to a seamless adjustment to life at Golden Arrows since joining from KZN rivals AmaZulu FC in July 2025. The 27-year-old credited coach Manqoba Mngqithi with helping him settle in quickly, advising him to remain calm and avoid putting undue pressure on himself, as he revealed in an interview with FARPost.

“There’s no secret to this, it’s just hard work and adapting quickly to the team. Coach Manqoba has been great to me, helping me stay calm and avoid putting too much pressure on myself,” Dion told this publication.

“I don’t know how many goals I’ll score or how many games I’ll play, but I want as many as possible. It’s about staying calm and trusting your instincts, especially in front of goal. Sometimes you just have to do what feels right and hope it works out.

“It’s about being more clinical inside the box, and I’m grateful I’ve been able to stay focused. The team is all about pushing hard and achieving our goals, so we’re just taking it one game at a time.”
