‘He’s a magician’: Arrows sensation receives massive praise

Golden Arrows players celebrating a goal

A Golden Arrows star has been described as a magician that can form a dangerous combination with Relebohile Mofokeng if he gets the Bafana Bafana nod.

Abafana Bes’thende marksman Junior Dion is raving about Siyanda Ndlovu, whose meteoric rise has made him a centre of attraction at the KZN club.

Ndlovu has been flying for Golden Arrows this season, emerging as a key player in their explosive attack. And Dion has immensely benefited from his brilliance.

With nine direct goal contributions, Ndlovu is just behind teammate Dion, who has ten. Simply put, Ndlovu has been a game-changer, and it’s no surprise top clubs like Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates are circling around him.

Even Coach Manqoba Mngqithi has been raving about Ndlovu’s potential, hinting he’s got the talent to go all the way.

โ€œI can be honest with you, I donโ€™t foresee any problem. The boy has probably got even bigger ambitions than what people think will entice him. He says he has potential to achieve far more than just a bus trip to Joburg,” Mngqithi said.

As it stands, Ndlovu has four goals and five assists in 17 matches for Arrows. And his teammate and striking partner, Dion, described him to FARPost, as a magician who can flourish to be a vital cog for Bafana Bafana alongside Mofokeng.

“Siyanda is a magician on the pitch. His talent and work ethic have lifted our whole team, and I’ve personally benefitted from playing alongside him. My form hasย been great, and a big part of that is because of him,” Dion told FARPost.

“I think Siyanda can form a great combination with that young Orlando Pirates player [Relebohile Mofokeng] for the future of South African football. They’re both talented, hungry, and have a lot to offer.”

“Siyanda is getting a lot of attention, but he has stayed focused. I think coach Manqoba has done a good job keeping him grounded, considering what’s going on. He’s a talented player, and we’re proud of his progress as we play together.”
