A former Kaizer Chiefs star stole the show during Zimbabwe’s Castle Challenge Cup match on Sunday, sprinting onto the pitch to embrace Khama Billiat, only to be swiftly escorted off by marshals.
While fans were left stunned by the pitch invasion, the invader was later identified as Kelvin Mushangazhike, a former striker who made a name for himself during the early 2000s at Amakhosi.
In the cup game, Billiat was introduced on the hour mark and scored the fifth goal as Scottland FC beat Dynamos 5-0 at Rufaro Stadium in Harare. Hopes are already high that the former Sundowns man will turn it on after scoring one goal in the 2025 season.
Appreciating the somewhat awkward gesture, the former Mamelodi Sundowns talisman posted on Facebook, showing love to Mushangazhike. He said: “I truly appreciate you, elder. Much Respect.”

Knowledge Musona, Walter Musona, Tymon Machope, and Emmanuel Ziocha scored the other four goals as Scottland FC demolished a hapless Dynamos outfit. Billiat has helped the team win the 2026 Castle Challenge Cup, which pits the PSL title winners and Chibuku Super Cup winners. The Castle Challenge Cup serves as the season curtain raiser.
Scotland FC, the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League winners, beat Dynamos FC, the 2025 Chibuku Super Cup winners, 5-0 to claim the cup title. This is Billiat’s second trophy since returning to Zimbabwe’s top-flight league.
Billiat’s team set an early marker of their intentions as the 2026 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season officially kicks off on March 6. They will be hoping to retain the league title, and will also be participating in the 2026/27 CAF Champions League.

The team also had a special guest at Rufaro Stadium, American rapper Rick Ross, who was invited by Scottland FC owner Scott Sakupwanya to the club’s kit unveiling on Friday, 27 February.
Scotland FC will kick off their Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season with a date against Hardrock FC on March 8. They are currently under the mentorship of former Chippa United coach Norman Mapeza.
Sundowns legend Peter Ndlovu is the team manager. The Harare-based club is also home to former Orlando Pirates forward Terrence Dzvukamanja, although he was not in the team that beat Dynamos.
