Mamelodi Sundowns to face Bundesliga side RB Leipzig

Betway Premiership defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed that Bundesliga side RB Leipzig will be coming down to South Africa for their post-season tour.

The two-time Bundesliga runners-up are expected to be in the country from 26 to 30 May 2026 as part of the tour โ€œRe Kaofelaโ€.

It is the clubโ€™s third major international tour after previous trips to the USA in 2024 and Brazil in 2025.

DATES AND VENUE FOR RB LEIPZIG FRIENDLY MATCH CONFIRMED

Their tour will also include a friendly match against Sundowns on 29 May 2026 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria.

โ€œAfter successful tours in the United States and Brazil, we are now very much looking forward to once again taking on responsibility for the league, travelling to South Africa for the first time, and meeting Mamelodi Sundowns,โ€ he said.

Meanwhile, Sundowns ambassador and former Captain Hlompho Kekana says the club is looking forward to the historic fixture.
