PSL confirm Nedbank Cup semi-final draw

With the tournament’s traditional heavyweights all watching from the sidelines, the PSL has confirmed the Nedbank Cup semi-final fixtures following the conclusion of the quarter-final encounters on Sunday, 8 March 2026.

The draw was conducted live on the football magazine show, Extra Time, on SuperSport’s PSL channel [202] on Monday night.

Casric Stars became the first side to book their spot in the semi-finals. The Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit pulled off an upset with a 2-1 victory over Betway Premiership side AmaZulu FC after extra time at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The giant-killing run continued on Saturday night at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium. Milford FC stunned Sekhukhune United 3-2 on penalties following a 2-2 draw after 120 minutes of football in Polokwane.

On Sunday afternoon, TS Galaxy secured a 2-0 win over ABC Motsepe League side Jacksa Spears at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium to ensure their progression to the last four.

The quarter-final round concluded with a KZN Derby at King Zwelithini Stadium. Durban City FC earned the bragging rights and a semi-final spot by defeating Golden Arrows 5-4 on penalties. The match ended 1-1 after extra time.

THE NEDBANK CUP DRAW PROCEDURE BY THE PSL

a) There was no seeding [All teams were treated equally regardless of their league tier].

b) Single Bowl [All four clubs were placed into one pot].

c) The first club to be drawn was determined as the home team.

d) The second club to be drawn was determined as the away team.

e) The same process was repeated until the semi-final draw was concluded.
