Triple blow for Sundowns ahead of Gallants clash

Mamelodi Sundowns players in celebratory mood

Mamelodi Sundowns will be without three key players for their crucial Betway Premiership encounter against Marumo Gallants on Tuesday night.

Masandawana are set to host Bahlabane ba Ntwa at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria, with kick-off scheduled for 19:30.

Bafana Ba Style are determined to reclaim the summit of the Betway Premiership standings. They will look to leapfrog Orlando Pirates, who dropped two vital points in the 1-1 draw against Siwelele FC at the Orlando Amstel Arena over the weekend.

As it stands, the Buccaneers lead the pack with 48 points—just a single point ahead of the second-placed Sundowns. However, the Chloorkop-based outfit holds a game-in-hand advantage over their Soweto rivals.

WHO ARE THE THREE MAMELODI SUNDOWNS PLAYERS RULED OUT FOR MARUMO GALLANTS MATCH?

The Brazilians will head into battle with the Bloemfontein-based club without the services of Bafana Bafana internationals Aubrey Modiba, Jayden Adams, and Khuliso Mudau, who are all sidelined due to suspensions.

Both Modiba and Mudau picked up their fourth yellow cards of the campaign during the league clash against Orbit College FC on Tuesday, 10 March 2026. As a result, the defensive duo will serve a mandatory one-match ban.

Meanwhile, Adams remains unavailable as he serves the final instalment of a two-match suspension. The midfielder received a red card during the encounter against Golden Arrows on Wednesday, 4 March 2026.

Having already sat out the victory over Orbit College last week, the clash against Gallants marks the completion of his suspension spell.

On the other hand, Gallants will also be without one of their key players in their league match against Sundowns. Katlego Otladisa is suspended for this particular showpiece after receiving his fourth yellow card in Gallants’ 2-1 loss to Golden Arrows over the weekend.
