At the King Zwelithini Stadium, Sabelo Sithole’s late strike sealed the win for Abafana Bes’thende, their eighth win from 22 games, leapfrogging Stellenbosch FC into eighth place.

After exchanging early half-chances with Arrows’ Ayabulela Maxwele and Sekhukhune United’s Lehlogonolo Mojela seeing shots miss the target – Sekhukhune were hamstrung when striker Bradley Grobler was stretchered off in clear distress.

Arrows finally made their attacking pressure pay in the 82nd minute, with Sithole turning nicely on the left before driving a shot beyond goalie Renaldo Leaner. That was enough to seal the win.

Lehlohonolo Seema’s Siwelele FC returned to winning ways, keeping hopes of a top-eight finish in the Betway Premiership alive with a 1-0 victory over Orbit College FC at the Toyota Stadium.
