AmaZulu FC has confirmed the exit of two technical team members, Simo Dladla and Pedro Diaz, who will leave the club at the end of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season.
Dladla served as the assistant coach to head coach Arthur Zwane, while Dias has been heading the operations of all the sporting activities as the director of football at the club.
Usuthu has started making adjustments to their team as they are looking to build a strong squad that can challenge big guns for trophies in the future. AmaZulu have been in a good run of form in the league, and they are currently sitting third on the log standings with 37 points in 22 games.
The KZN-based side is eager to finish the season in the top three to qualify for CAF interclubs competitions next season. So far this season, AmaZulu have won 11 league games, drawn four, and suffered seven defeats under the guidance of former Kaizer Chiefs mentor Zwane.
AmaZulu announced the exit of Dladla and Dias, who will leave their respective positions at the end of the current campaign, with the club seemingly taking a new direction.
SIMO DLADLA AND PEDRO DIAS SAID TO LEAVE AMAZULU
โAmaZulu Football Club confirms that director of football, Mr Pedro Dias, and assistant coach, Mr Simo Dladla, will depart from the club at the conclusion of the current season following the decision not to extend their respective contracts,โ the club said in a statement.

โThis development forms part of the clubโs broader strategic restructuring of the football department, aimed at streamlining operations and reinforcing a high-performance environment aligned with AmaZulu FCโs long-term ambitions.
โMr. Dias joined the club in October 2023 and was entrusted with overseeing all football-related activities. As part of the clubโs renewed technical direction, it has been resolved to discontinue the director of football role in favour of a more integrated football management structure.
โMr. Dladla, who joined Usuthu at the beginning of the current season, has made a positive contribution within the Arthur Zwane-led technical team. Prior to his tenure at AmaZulu, he guided Durban City to the ABC Motsepe Championship title and secured promotion to the Betway Premiership.
WHAT THE AMAZULU PRESIDENT SAID ABOUT THE EXIT OF DLADLA AND DIAS
โAmaZulu FC President, Mr Sandile Zungu, extended his sincere appreciation to both Mr Dias and Mr Dladla for their professionalism, dedication, and meaningful contributions during their time at the Club.
โTheir service has been valued, and they leave with the Clubโs full respect and gratitude. The Club wishes both Mr Dias and Mr Dladla every success in their future professional endeavours.โ We are confident that they will continue to display the utmost professionalism until the conclusion of their contracts at the end of the season,โ said Zungu.
