Warriors captain Marvelous Nakamba has backed Zimbabwe to deliver on the big stage and lift the Mukuru Four Nations Tournament when they face Zambia in tomorrow’s final set to be beamed live across Africa, marking a major boost for regional football visibility.
The inaugural tournament, featuring Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi and hosts Botswana, will see the final fixtures broadcast on SuperSport and GOtv platforms across multiple African markets, ensuring widespread access for fans.
Kick-off for the day’s matches will see Malawi take on Botswana at 3pm CAT, followed by a highly anticipated clash between Zimbabwe and Zambia at 6pm, which has been dubbed the Livingstone Derby.
Speaking ahead of the final against Neighbours Zambia, Sheffield Wednesday FC midfielder Nakamba highlighted the competitive nature of the Mukuru-sponsored tournament and its role in player development.
“I think every match we have tried to be competitive. We are just giving our best for the nation, representing our country. We push and encourage in every training session. As Zimbabwe are looking forward to facing Zambia in tomorrow’s final. These tournaments are really helping each country and improving each player individually,” he said.

The matches will be broadcast in South Africa on SuperSport PSL [Channel 202] and SuperSport Variety 4 [Channel 209], while viewers in the rest of Africa can tune in via SuperSport Africa. In Nigeria, the channel is 207, while across the broader African region, it will be available on Channel 227.
GOtv viewers will also be able to catch the action on SuperSport Africa, available on Channel 63, 163 in Ghana and 363 in Uganda, further widening the tournament’s reach.
Zambia coach Oswald Mutapa expects a tough encounter but remains confident in his side’s chances.
“We are ready for the final game tomorrow. We expect a very tough game against a very experienced side, but this is football. Just like we played a very experienced Malawi side, but the boys gave their all. You can see we maintained the structure, and we were fearless. Similarly, in the final, hopefully the same happens, but this time we must bury the game,” he said.
The expanded broadcast signals growing commercial and fan interest in regional competitions, with the Mukuru Four Nations Tournament increasingly seen as a platform to sharpen talent and strengthen Southern African football.
