Former Bafana Bafana player Masilo Modubi continues to grow his profile as a coach in Belgium following his new appointment.
FARPost has established that Modubi has now been appointed to take over at Turkse FC from the beginning next season.
Turkse competes in the regional leagues of Belgium, specifically within the Limburg provincial structure, operating in the Provincial League 1.
The 40-year-old Seshego-born has been a resident of Belgium since he left for Europe in 2003 to play for the English giants Chelsea.
FORMER CHELSEA FC MIDFIELDER CONTINUES TO MAKE A NAME FOR HIMSELF IN BELGIUM
He was spotted by Chelsea scouts at the Transnet School of Excellence in 2000 and signed for the club along with the late Boy-Boy Mosia and the late Jeffrey Ntuka.
However, due to difficulty in obtaining an international work permit to play in England, Modubi was loaned to KVC Westerlo in Belgium. He ended up spending over a decade at the club. Modubi also had a three-year stint at Dessel Sport, also in Belgium.

ANOTHER COACHING TASK FOR MASILO MODUBI IN EUROPE
He began his coaching career in 2015 in Belgium and quickly earned the nickname “African Pep Guardiola” for his possession-based, build-from-the-back coaching style.
Three years ago, Modubi came close to securing promotion with his former Belgian third-tier side KESK Leopoldsburg but lost out in the playoffs.
There were reports in Belgium that his former players at KESK Leopoldsburg had to go on strike to demand his reinstatement after the club decided to part with the former midfielder. He was also linked with a return to South three seasons but nothing came out of it.
He has now been tasked to secure promotion for Turkse FC and was recently unveiled during a media briefing.
