As it was first reported by FARPost, struggling Betway Premiership side Marumo Gallants have confirmed the appointment of Jamil Benouahi as the club’s new head coach.
The Moroccan mentor takes over from Alexandre Lafitte, who recently parted ways with the club. Lafitte had been placed on suspension following a string of poor results.
Former defender and current DStv Diski Challenge [DDC] coach Matome Mathiane had been at the helm temporarily.
The 47-year-old was last at the Moroccan side AS FAR Rabat as an assistant coach. He has also served as technical director for USM Alger [Algeria] and Maghreb Fez [Morocco], and as a youth coach and Academy Director at Qatar SC.
