Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed date changes for their Betway Premiership clash against Chippa United, with the encounter rescheduled to take place two days after the FIFA international break.
Sundowns are set to continue their congested fixture in the month of April as they will be juggling the league title race and the CAF Champions League.
The Brazilians are eager to defend the league title, having won the trophy for the past eight consecutive seasons. Sundowns are involved in a tight race with Orlando Pirates to win the league at the end of the 2025/26 season.
Pirates are currently sitting at the summit of the log standings with 51 points in 22 matches, while Sundowns are in second place with 50 points, having played one game less.
The Buccaneers have been tipped as the real contenders to finally dethrone Sundowns and end their long-standing dominance in the Premiership. Pirates are chasing the elusive league honours after last winning the trophy in 2012.
Meanwhile, Sundowns will have to defend the league while chasing the Champions League, which has also been the ultimate goal for the club in the past few seasons.
WHEN WILL SUNDOWNS FACE CHIPPA UNITED?

Last season, Masandawana fell short in the final after losing in the two-legged final against Egyptian club Pyramids FC. In the current campaign, Sundowns have made it to the semi-final, and they will face Esperance de Tunis later this month with a place in the final at stake.
Before shifting their focus to continental football, the Tshwane giants will lock horns with Chippa in a fixture that has been moved to an earlier date, two days after the FIFA international break. KaBo Yellow have Themba Zwane, Teboho Mokoena, Jayden Adams, Khuliso Mudau, Aubrey Modiba, Ronwen Williams, and Khulumani Ndamane away in camp with Bafana Bafana for back-to-back friendlies against Panama.
A few days after the Chippa match, Sundowns will visit Durban City on the 7th of April, while the Champions League match against Esperance is on the 12th of April, with the return leg set for the following weekend.
Downs were scheduled to face the Chilli Boys on the 28th of April at Loftus Versfeld Stadium; however, the match has been moved to the 3rd of April, with kickoff set for 19:30.
