Orbit College FC head coach Pogiso Makhoye says his side was not outclassed during their 3-1 defeat to Kaizer Chiefs on Easter Monday, but they gave away cheap goals.
Orbit suffered their 15th loss of the season in Gqeberha at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, the most of any side in the Betway Premiership this term.
Amakhosi came from a goal down to register their third consecutive win, while it was a third straight defeat for Orbit. They remain second from the bottom of the log with 18 points and seven games to go.
While addressing the media on his impressions of hosting the match at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, Makhoye also expressed how he felt the score line was deceiving.
ORBIT COLLEGE FC COACH SAYS SCORELINE AGAINST KAIZER CHIEFS WAS DECEIVING
“It was marvellous because we also enjoyed ourselves. I think even the score is deceiving, but we came here, and we competed,” he told journalists.

“It’s like we are home away from home, and we enjoyed ourselves. We enjoyed the pitch; it was so perfect. Why not [to come back]? It’s one of the fields that is our alternative venue, so if we can not host at Olympia Park Stadium, the stadium is available. So I will definitely come back here.”
POGISO MAKHOYE ADMITS IT’S FRUSTRATING TO SUFFER DEFEAT
“Very frustrating because we had a very good game plan, especially the first 30 minutes. I think we were in control,” he added.
“But after we took the lead, we dropped our performances a little, but we defended too deeply and conceded soft goals. In the second half, we played into their hands, where we played too many long balls, and we conceded from there.
“It’s not like we were outclassed; what we did was give them cheap goals, and it is very frustrating because where we are, we need to fight for every point.”
