Milford FC and Casric Stars stumbled in their Motsepe Foundation Championship title pursuit after dropping points in their respective matches, while Baroka FC fell deeper into the relegation zone.

The 2026 Nedbank Cup semi-finalists, Milfordย dropped points after their surprise 2-1 defeat against struggling side Gomora United on Saturday, missing out on the chance to climb to the summit of the league table. The KZN-based side is occupying fourth place on the league table after accumulating 41 points, having claimed 12 wins, five draws, and seven defeats in 24 matches.

Elsewhere, Casric Stars played to a thrilling 3-3 draw against Midlands Wanderers at Mpumalanga Stadium on Saturday afternoon. After sharing spoils with Midlands, Casric are sitting fifth on the log standings with 40 points in 24 games.

They are six points adrift of leaders Kruger United. And Casric Stars are winless in their last two games, having played to a 1-1 draw against fellow title chasers Milford in midweek.

In another match on Saturday, Baroka lost 2-1 against Leicesterford City FC at home. Their position and current poor run of form could see them relegated to the ABC Motsepe League next season.

Bakgakga are rooted at the bottom of the log in the Motsepe Foundation with 18 points in 24 outings. They have managed to register only four wins, six draws, and 14 defeats this campaign. The Limpopo outfit is winless in their last six matches after losing five matches against AmaTuks, Hungry Lions FC, Milford FC, Midlands Wanderers, Leicesterford City, and playing a draw against Venda FC.
