TS Galaxy president Tim Sukazi has addressed transfer rumours linking talented winger Seluleko Mahlambi with a big move to Kaizer Chiefs.
Mahlambi has emerged as an outstanding performer for Galaxy in the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season, displaying dazzling performances in attack after coming through the club’s DStv Diski Challenge [DDC] side.
The young winger gained promotion to the Galaxyโs senior team at the start of the current campaign after impressing in the DDC, under the guidance of Chiefs legend Bernard Parker, before he also took over the assistant coach job in the first team.
Mahlambi has been tormenting defenders with his pace and skill, proving to be one of the best wingers in the PSL. The 21-year-old has featured in 30 appearances across all competitions, scoring five and registering four assists.
Beyond the Premiership, Mahlambi has helped the Rockets to reach the final of the 2026 Nedbank Cup, where they’ll face Durban City FC at the New Peter Mokaba on the 2nd of May 2026.
The Mpumalanga-based side have reached their third cup final after winning the 2019 Nedbank Cup with a shock victory over Amakhosi. After the historic win against Chiefs, Galaxy went on to play in the final of the 2023 Carling Knockout Cup and lost against Stellenbosch FC.
WHAT TIM SUKAZI SAID ABOUT MAHLAMBI’S TRANSFER RUMOURS

With Mahlambi enjoying an impressive breakout season with Galaxy, several media reports have linked the attacker with the Soweto giants.
On the other hand, retired Chiefs defender Siboniso Gaxa has also advised his former side to pounce on the starlet, who is a younger brother to ex-Mamelodi Sundowns star Phakamani Mahlambi.
“Speaking to FARPost on the sidelines of TS Galaxy’s announcement of a landmark partnership with Avroy Shlain SA on Friday in Midrand, Tim Sukazi said: “We do our best in trying to keep our youngsters focused despite any kind of interest out there. Mahlambi is a point of focus now, and we are well aware.
โSo we do our best to deal with such situations; we’ve been facing such situations before, and we are quite seasoned in that department. If there’s any club that is doing this job [of dealing with transfers] better is us. We’ve unleashed young talent, and some are excelling where they are. Mahlambi’s opportunity will probably come.”
