It was a Friday night of draws as two Betway Premiership matches between Golden Arrows and Siwelele FC, Durban City and Orbit College FC ended in stalemates.
At the King Zwelithini Stadium, Golden Arrows and Siwelele FC settled for a 0-0 draw while Durban City FC and Orbit College FC drew 1-1.
For Golden Arrows, the match became lively in the last ten minutes, piling pressure on Siwelele FC, but they missed chance after chance. Nqobeko Dlamini missed a sitter after misdirecting his header from a corner kick delivered by Ntandoyenkosi Mabaso.
Siyanda Ndlovu also had his left-footed shot from outside the box go wide to the right, assisted by Nqobeko Dlamini. Grant Margeman and Gamphani Lungu had Siwelele’s chances in the first half, but their attempts were blocked from close range. The second half had a slow start, and the two sides could not be separated at full-time.
ORBIT COLLEGE FC AND DURBAN CITY FC PLAY TO A DRAW

At the Chatsworth Stadium, the home side, Durban City FC, started the match at a high tempo, hoping to capitalise on home advantage. Haashim Domingo played a blinder in the opening exchanges.
For Orbit College FC, Yanga Madiba was a menace as he won free-kicks on the left wing, but they failed to utilise them. However, it was Gomolemo Khoto who opened the scoring for Orbit College in the 19th minute with a left-footed shot from outside the box.
Lebogang Lesako was the provider for the goal following a fast break that caught the Durban City defence off-guard. Even Darren Keet couldn’t keep Khoto’s effort out. Durban City tried hard to come back into the game in the first half, but Orbit College FC refused to be cowed into submission. In fact, Ben Motshwari almost doubled Orbit College’s score on the stroke of half-time.
Durban City returned from the break with a sting on their tails, and Jean Lwamba restored parity for them in the 57th minute following a well-worked effort spurred by an assist from Saziso Magawana.
Orbit College remains at the bottom of the log table with 20 points from 26 matches.
