North West-based Orbit College FC have cleared the air regarding the confusion over their home venue for the crucial and final Betway Premiership clash this season against title-chasers Orlando Pirates later this month.
The Mswenko Boys are scheduled to face the high-flying Pirates in their last match of the league on the 23rd of May, as they fight to avoid relegation to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
Orbit are in their first season in the SA top-flight after gaining promotion from the second division via the PSL promotional playoffs at the start of the 2025/26 season.
In their maiden season in the Premiership, Orbit College have struggled to find their feet after spending most of the campaign in the bottom half of the league table. They are currently sitting 14th on the log standings with 24 points in 28 games, whereas Magesi FC and Marumo Gallants are occupying 16th and 15th positions with 21 and 23 points, respectively.
With Orbit desperate to climb the table to save their status, they have two tough fixtures: against Stellenbosch FC in the penultimate round and against Pirates in the final game.
In what was meant to be their last home game of the season, Orbit were scheduled to lock horns with the Buccaneers at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Phokeng, near Rustenburg; however, the venue is unavailable due to ongoing maintenance work.
WHAT ORBIT COLLEGE SAID ABOUT THE HOME VENUE TO HOST THE PIRATES MATCH

As Orbit are forced to look for an alternative venue to host Pirates, they revealed that they are working around the clock to secure a stadium where the Soweto giants could lift their league trophy should they beat Sundowns to the title.
โOrbit College FC wishes to inform its supporters, stakeholders, members of the media, and the football community that the Betway Premiership fixture against Orlando Pirates scheduled for Saturday, 23 May 2026 at 15h00 will no longer be played at Royal Bafokeng Stadium,โ Orbit said in a statement on Tuesday.
โThis follows confirmation from the stadium management that the facility will remain unavailable until 30 June 2026. The club is currently in the process of securing an alternative compliant venue capable of hosting a fixture of this magnitude. A final confirmation regarding the venue will be communicated by Friday, 15 May 2026.
โOrbit College FC apologises for any inconvenience caused and appreciates the patience, understanding, and continued support from all stakeholders during this process.โย
