Ex-Orlando Pirates development coach Mandla Qhogi has revealed how his side, Nsingizini Hotspurs FC, plans to approach the upcoming season following a treble-winning campaign in Eswatini.

Qhogi, who took over the reins at the Eswatini side in May 2025 following his departure from Motsepe Foundation Championship side Milford FC, has enjoyed a magnificent debut season in the neighbouring country.

In just three months in charge of Nsingizini, the South African tactician secured his first piece of silverware by lifting the 8Bet Trade Fair Cup. That triumph paved the way for a successful season, as the club went on to clinch the Ingwenyama Cup and the MTN Premier League title, sealing a domestic treble.

The Nsingizini managed to defend their Eswatini league title, finishing comfortably at the top of the standings with 65 points from 30 games.

MANDLA QHOGI ON NSINGIZINI’S PLANS FOR THE NEW CAMPAIGN

Speaking to FARPost, Qhogi emphasised that the transfer market will be crucial, as several of his star players have attracted interest beyond Eswatini’s borders.

“Well, the first thing we have to do is have proper recruitment because we will be losing a few players. We will be losing them because they will be seeking greener pastures,” Qhogi told this publication.

“There will be players who will be going to other clubs outside the borders of Eswatini.

“So, we need to make sure that whoever we bring in is a player who will fit our playing philosophy and meet the tactical demands that are needed.”

‘EXPERIENCE WILL BE NEEDED FOR AFRICA’: MANDLA QHOGI

With Nsingizini set to represent Eswatini in the CAF Champions League next season, Qhogi underscored the importance of balancing youth with experience to ensure they are competitive on all fronts.

“Also, the right age is important so that we can have players who can compete in Africa. Experience will also be needed,” he added.
