FARPost can reveal the contract details behind defender Katekani Mhlongo’s switch to TS Galaxy from Marumo Gallants ahead of the new Betway Premiership season.
The Rockets are actively working to bolster their defensive options following a challenging previous campaign, and the acquisition of the defender, Mhlongo, is seen as a key step in solidifying their backline.
Mhlongo returned to the Gallants in June 2025 following a loan spell at Leruma United earlier in the same season. The defender had been on the books of Bahlabane ba Ntwa since January 2024.
During the 2025/26 term, the centre-back featured in 16 matches across all competitions for the Abram Sello-owned club. The 24-year-old played a crucial role in helping Gallants retain their top-flight status.
Bathlabane ba Ntwa finished the last season in 14th place, accumulating 25 points from 30 games and narrowly escaping the dreaded relegation zone on the final day of the campaign.
KATEKANI MHLONGO’S CONTRACT DETAILS AT TS GALAXY

FARPost has it on good authority that the talented central defender has penned a three-year deal with the Mpumalanga-based outfit.
Mhlongo will be expected to hit the ground running under the tutelage of head coach Bernard Parker. The technical team will look to leverage the player’s top-flight experience to help the club secure a better position in the South African elite league next season.
In the previous term, the Rockets endured a mixed run of form, finishing in 12th position on the Betway Premiership log standings after collecting 32 points from their 30 matches.
Meanwhile, the arrival of Mhlongo follows a busy recruitment drive by Galaxy. As previously reported by FARPost, the club has also roped in the exciting trio of Zuko Gxabuza, Lennol Mathebula, and Mpho Maoke from Motsepe Foundation Championship side Gomora United.
