Former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper coach Ilyes Mzoughi has been dismissed by Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca just over two weeks after joining the club. Raja terminated the Tunisian’s contract after a controversial video allegedly involving the goalkeeper coach circulated.
The decision follows what insiders describe as a major off-field incident that disrupted preparations less than 24 hours before one of Raja’s key league fixtures. The three-time African champions face OC Safi in their final match of the 2024/25 Botola Pro season this evening.
Information gathered by FARPost indicates that a private explicit video, alleged to feature Mzoughi, circulated widely on social media after reportedly being leaked by its recipient. The incident quickly became a major talking point at the club, prompting Raja’s hierarchy to take decisive action.
The Moroccan heavyweights are understood to have regarded the matter as gross misconduct that risked damaging the club’s reputation, resulting in Mzoughi’s immediate dismissal.
NASREDDINE NABI DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED BY MZOUGHI INCIDENT

Sources have further revealed that Raja head coach Nasreddine Nabi, who personally facilitated Mzoughi’s return to work under him, was deeply disappointed by the incident.
The dismissal brings an abrupt end to what had appeared to be another reunion between the two Tunisians following their previous spell together at Chiefs.
FARPost exclusively revealed last month that Mzoughi had finalised a move to Raja shortly after leaving Naturena, reuniting with Nabi in Morocco.
Mzoughi had initially hoped to remain at Chiefs. However, the club informed him that the newly appointed head coach, Fernando Da Cruz, intended to appoint his own goalkeeping coach, bringing Mzoughi’s two-year stay at Naturena to an end.
His work at Amakhosi had earned widespread praise, particularly during Brandon Petersen’s impressive 2025/26 campaign, when the goalkeeper established himself as one of the club’s standout performers, keeping 18 clean sheets across all competitions.
Before joining Raja, Mzoughi also briefly worked with the Burkina Faso national team during the recent international window, then chose to return to club football alongside Nabi.
His latest dismissal leaves the experienced goalkeeper coach searching for a new opportunity after a brief and turbulent spell at one of Africa’s biggest clubs.
