Renowned Prosport International agent Mike Makaab has exclusively revealed to FARPost that discussions are ongoing regarding a potential loan move for winger Kobamelo Kodisang away from Chloorkop.

Kodisang has found regular game time hard to come by at Masandawana since his high-profile arrival in July 2024, when he signed a long-term contract from Portuguese top-flight outfit Moreirense FC.

Despite arriving at Chloorkop as one of the country’s most promising overseas-based exports, the pacey attacker faced stiff competition and struggled to cement a regular starting berth in the star-studded Brazilians’ line-up.

During his debut 2024/25 campaign, the talented winger made just 13 appearances across all competitions, contributing two goals and two assists. In a bid to revive his form and secure regular playing minutes, Kodisang returned to Portugal at the start of the following season to join Primeira Liga side AVS Futebol SAD on a season-long loan.

However, his European return was severely derailed by recurrent injuries, forcing the temporary spell to be cut short halfway through the campaign.

In January 2025, the former Bidvest Wits star returned to the Betway Premiership to join Stellenbosch FC for the remainder of the 2025/26 season under the familiar coach Gavin Hunt. Before reuniting at Stellies, Hunt and Kodisang worked together at Wits, where the Bafana Bafana international impressed and gained a move overseas.

But at Stellenbosch, things didn’t go as planned for the 26-year-old, who was limited to five appearances across all competitions and left the Winelands-based club without scoring a goal.

With uncertainty hanging over Kodisang, his agent, Mike Makaab, told FARPost that they are looking for a loan move for the attacker ahead of the 2026/27 season, though he didn’t reveal any possible destinations.

“We are looking for loan opportunities for Kobamelo Kodisang for the next season,” Makaab said. “I think we all know that Kodisang battled injuries last season and we’re hoping that he gets back to his best and showcases his talent on the pitch again.”
