Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit Orbit College FC are currently assessing former Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu FC defender Sibusiso Mabiliso ahead of the new season, FARPost has established.
Mabiliso has been without a club since March 2025 following his departure from the Limpopo club Baroka FC after reaching an amicable decision to part ways.
The talented left-back had joined Bakgaga at the beginning of the 2024/25 season after cutting ties with the Betway Premiership side AmaZulu FC in January 2024.
Mabiliso was a regular when he first arrived at Baroka, but things quickly went downhill. He only managed to make 10 appearances across all competitions for the Lebowakgomo-based outfit.
The 27-year-old joined Baroka in a bid to revive his career following disappointing stints at Amakhosi and during his second spell with Usuthu.
In an interview with FARPost in March 2025, Mabiliso revealed that mental health issues led to his exit at Baroka.
“So I had to choose whether I stay and continue grinding or I choose my mental health. So, I decided to leave because my mental health comes first. I was not in a good state of my health,” Mabiliso told this publication at the time.

After being on the sidelines for a year, FARPost can reveal that Mabiliso is trying his luck at the North West-based club as the 2026/27 campaign is around the corner.
Mabiliso will be hoping to impress the Orbit College technical team, secure a contract, and rejuvenate his football career.
His experience in the Betway Premiership, where he made 90 appearances, will prove invaluable should the Pogiso Makhoye-coached side offer Mabiliso a contract.
Following their relegation to the second tier of South African football—having finished bottom of the log with 24 points from 30 matches—Orbit College will be committed to securing a return to the Betway Premiership.
