ESwatini giants Mbabane Highlanders AM FC have confirmed the appointment of former Mamelodi Sundowns youth coach and scout Floyd ‘Mourinho’ Mogale as their new head coach. He replaces another South African coach, Selaotse ‘Sly’ Mosala, who recently left the club to join rivals Moneni Pirates.
The Shauwn ‘MaMkhize’ Mkhize-owned club announced on Tuesday that Mogale would take over the reins. His appointment ends speculation that had also linked Dan ‘Dance’ Malesela to the job. He takes over a team that finished fifth as his fellow countryman Mandla Qhogi guided Nsingizini Hotspurs to the league title.
Mogale has been tasked with reviving Ezimnyama’s fortunes, as the club last won the league title in 2001. He will be joined by physical trainer Percy Shongwe as they begin preparations for the 2026/27 season. The former Sundowns scout has previously held roles at Black Leopards, the now-defunct Free State Stars, and Chippa United.

Working alongside Coach Mogale will be Percy Shongwe, who joins the technical team as the club’s Physical Trainer.
Coach Shongwe brings a wealth of coaching experience, an excellent understanding of the local football landscape, and a progressive approach shaped by modern training methodologies and a global football perspective. His expertise will play a vital role in ensuring the squad is physically prepared to meet the demands of the new campaign.
