Sekhukhune United have officially unveiled the signing of former Orlando Pirates duo Gomolemo Khoto and Siyabonga Ndlozi, intensifying their activities in the transfer window for the upcoming season.
Babina Noko welcomed Khoto and Ndlozi to beef up their squad as they move into the new era under the leadership of Cedric Kaze, who recently took over the coaching job.
At Pirates, Khoto and Ndlozi struggled for game time under the then-head coach Jose Riveiro, and their situations didn’t change even under the guidance of Abdeslam Ouaddou. The Moroccan mentor took over the hot seat at the Soweto giants in July 2025, replacing Riveiro, who stepped down following the expiry of his contract at Pirates.
In the previous campaign, the two players went out on loan to Magesi FC and Orbit College FC, respectively, to get regular playing minutes elsewhere.
Ndlozi only arrived at Magesi in the January 2026 transfer window and played regularly, making 15 appearances, although his input couldn’t help the club avoid relegation to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
During his stint at Pirates, the right-back only featured in 11 matches across all competitions after facing stiff competition in the star-studded squad.
SIYABONGA NDLOZI JOINED MAGESI FC IN JANUARY 2026
Ndlozi gained promotion to the Pirates’ first team ahead of the 2024/25 season after making his mark in the club’s DStv Diski Challenge side.
On the other hand, Khoto formed part of the team that suffered relegation after Orbit College finished 16th on the league table last season. He has been with the club on loan since 2023.
The pacey attacker amassed over 60 appearances in his time with Mswenko Boys, where he turned himself into a key member of the club.
After struggling to break into Pirates’ senior team, Khoto and Ndlozi have moved to Sekhukhune United on permanent deals for the 2026/27 season. The Limpopo-based side announced the arrival of the pair on Thursday afternoon.
“Sekhukhune United Football Club is pleased to confirm the permanent signings of Gomolemo Khoto and Siyabonga Ndlozi,” the club said on its social media platforms.
“The two talented players officially join us ahead of the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season. We proudly welcome them to the Babina Noko Family and wish them every success.”
