FARPost has learnt that former Baroka FC goalkeeper Kgaogelo Sithole is training with Casric Stars. This comes as the club looks at a potential replacement for current number one Wandile Mthombeni, who is linked with Siwelele FC.
Sithole is now a free agent after parting ways with Baroka, who were relegated to the SAFA ABC Motsepe League last season.
He was a key part of the Limpopo side competing alongside former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Mondli Mpoto.
As FARPost had first reported, current number one Casric Stars goalkeeper Wandile Mthombeni is linked with a move to Betway Premiership side Siwelele FC.

Mthombeni is most remembered for stunning Orlando Pirates in last season’s Nedbank Cup. He emerged as one of the standout performers during Casric’s memorable 2026 Nedbank Cup run.
The 26-year-old played a huge role as the Motsepe Foundation Championship side eliminated Orlando Pirates in the Last 16.
Mthombeni is said to have impressed during his assessment at Siwelele FC recently, increasing the likelihood of a move away from the club where his father, Bucs Mthombeni, is the head coach and co-owner.

This publication has also gathered that former Baroka FC midfielder Thulani Sikhosana is reportedly also trying his luck with Casric. Sikhosana was a key figure in the Baroka side since joining from ABC Motsepe League side Tzaneen United three seasons ago.
Casric will be looking to beef up their squad after missing out on promotion during the 2025/26 season. Despite being strong contenders in the early stages, the club dropped crucial points when it mattered most, ultimately missing out on a PSL Promotion/Relegation playoff spot by just two points. It is a familiar heartbreak for the team, who also fell short during the 2024/25 promotional playoffs.
