Ex-Kaizer Chiefs and Marumo Gallants midfielder Kamohelo Mahlatsi has resurfaced at Motsepe Foundation Championship side Casric Stars FC ahead of the new season, FARPost can reveal.
The 27-year-old attacking midfielder spent the previous season on the books of Leicesterford City FC in the South African second tier.
Mahlatsi had joined the National First Division [NFD] outfit following his exit from Betway Premiership club Marumo Gallants at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
During his time with Bahlabane Ba Ntwa, Mahlatsi made 20 appearances, scoring once and providing one assist, as the Bloemfontein-based side secured a 10th-place finish in the league standings that season.
He then moved to the newly formed second-tier club, adding much-needed experience to the Leicesterford City FC squad after they had purchased the Motsepe Foundation Championship status of JDR Stars.
The midfielder went on to help his side finish 12th on the log with 34 points from 30 outings in their debut NFD season.
KAMOHELO MAHLATSI TRYING HIS LUCK AT CASRIC STARS
FARPost can confirm that Mahlatsi is currently training with Casric, trying his luck ahead of the 2026/27 season with the hope of securing a permanent contract.
Casric are looking to bolster their squad after missing out on the PSL Promotional/Relegation Playoffs on the final day of last season.
The Mpumalanga-based side finished fourth on the NFD table with 52 points—just two points behind Cape Town City FC and Milford FC, who finished second and third respectively.
Mahlatsi boasts a wealth of experience across both the Betway Premiership and the Motsepe Foundation Championship. Over the course of his career, he has also turned out for teams such as Ubuntu Cape Town, SuperSport United, University of Pretoria [AmaTuks], Moroka Swallows, and Chippa United.
As things stand, the ball is in Mahlatsi’s court to impress Casric’s technical team and earn his place with the Mpumalanga-based club.
