The Premier Soccer League [PSL] have confirmed the MTN8 semi-final draw following the conclusion of the quarter-final matches on Sunday, 9 August 2026.
The draw took place live on SuperSport TV Channel 202. This took place immediately after the last quarter-final clash between Kaizer Chiefs and Golden Arrows at FNB Stadium on Sunday night.
Defending champions Orlando Pirates were the first side to lock in their spot in the last four on Saturday. The Buccaneers fought off a resilient 10-man Durban City FC at Orlando Amstel Arena, claiming a hard-fought 2-1 victory after 120 tiresome minutes of football.
Later that evening, Mamelodi Sundowns joined the Sea Robbers in the semi-finals after edging Polokwane City FC 3-2 in an extra-time thriller at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium.
The action continued on Sunday afternoon as Sekhukhune United booked their place in the semi-finals. Babina Noko emerged victorious in a seven-goal thriller at Chatsworth Stadium, defeating AmaZulu FC 4-3 after extra time.
Golden Arrows then grabbed the last semi-final ticket on Sunday night, securing a narrow 1-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs in Soweto.
THE DRAW PROCEDURE AND FORMAT BY THE PSL
The PSL conducted the draw using a single bowl containing four balls, each representing one of the qualified semi-finalists:
a) The first ball drawn was designated as the home team for the first leg, while the second ball drawn was assigned as the away team.
b) The third ball drawn was designated as the home team for the first leg. The fourth ball drawn was assigned as the away team.
Unlike the quarter-finals, both semi-final ties will be played over two legs on a home-and-away basis.
