ProSport International agent Mike Makaab has opened up on the situation of Mamelodi Sundowns star Kobamelo Kodisang, who is searching for a loan move before the transfer window slams shut next month.
Kodisang has found it difficult to break into Miguel Cardoso’s team at Sundowns, which saw the winger spend the previous campaign out on loan.
The former SA junior international joined AVS Futebol SAD at the start of the previous season in a deal that was supposed to be a season-long loan. However, Kodisang’s spell with the Portuguese top division side was cut after six months.
After leaving Futebol SAD, Kodisang joined Stellenbosch FC in the 2026 January transfer window to play under Gavin Hunt, who previously coached the speedy attacker
At Stellenbosch, Kodisang found it difficult to find regular game time despite working under Hunt, who coached him at Bidvest Wits a few years ago. The 26-year-old only managed to register five appearances across all competitions at the Winelands-based side.
KOBAMELO KODISANG IS CURRENTLY TRAINING ALONE
After the challenging loan spell with Stellenbosch, Kodisang returned to Sundowns, although the Tshwane giants are looking for another loan move for the former Platinum Stars winger.
With Kodisang aiming to secure his next club before the transfer window closes on 22 September 2026, his agent, Mike Makaab, has revealed that the pacey attacker is currently on a special programme, training on his own.
“Look, we are exploring loan options for Kobamelo Kodisang, and at the moment nothing has been finalised,” Makaab said in an interview with FARPost.
“So while we’re searching for a club for him, he’s training alone, he’s on a special programme, and we hope that everything will be concluded soon.”
