La Cure Waves SC has sent a warning to Orlando Pirates ahead of the second leg of the CAF Champions League first preliminary round at the Orlando Amstel Arena in Soweto this weekend.
The Mauritius-based side held Pirates to a frustrating goalless draw in the first leg at the Côte-d’Or National Sports Complex in the Mauritian capital last Sunday, preventing the Buccaneers from finding the back of the net.
La Cure Waves landed in South Africa on Wednesday ahead of the highly anticipated second-leg encounter on Saturday, with kickoff set for 15:00 CAT.
Meanwhile, Pirates are looking to produce an impressive performance in front of their home fans to secure positive results and advance to the second preliminary round of the Champions League.
The Soweto giants are eager to improve from the disappointment of last season, where they crashed out of the second preliminary round with a shock defeat on penalties against FC Saint-Eloi Lupopo.
In the current campaign, Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has made it clear that he wants to chase the continental showpiece and possibly guide the side to lift the trophy for the first time since 1995.
With Pirates burning to clinch the Champions League, their first task is to overcome the motivated La Cure Waves outfit.
